What Water Teaches Us

 Frozen Water = Snow Crystals

My mother once told me to thank all the food I was to eat.  We didn't say 'grace' at home, but she said her friends had taught her that the quality of the food and drink we ate and drank changed if we were first grateful for and TO them.  In the same vain, when studying Ayurvedic Nutrition, I learned that the emotions of the person who prepares your food also nurtures your body (positively or negatively). When preparing food for others, I therefore do take my role as 'cook' very seriously, especially if I am preparing meals for my family - but my thoughts and my choices in everything I do is as important every minute of the day.  And in Dr. Emoto's book the visual proof of why this is so moves me.

My mother recently suggested I read Dr. Masaru Emoto's book The Hidden Messages in Water.  We recently watched What the Bleep Do We Know so I was open to and interested in reading the book.  What impressed me first and foremost about the message of the book was the POWER of ONE PERSON's thoughts: Dr. Emoto found that one's thoughts affected the structure of water.  Merely thinking "I love you" created beautiful crystals in water, while crystals were unformed and patterns were asymmetrical when directed with negative thoughts.  Secondly, how one structures his or her environment is fundamental to one's being: Dr. Emoto found that even printed words placed near water and music  played around water affected its structure.  Click here for photographs of water crystals.

Dr. Emoto's message is important because as he writes in his book:

"We start out life being 99% water, as fetuses.  When we are born, we are 90% water, and by the time we reach adulthood we are down to 70%.  If we die of old age, we will probably be about 50% water.  In other words, throughout our lives we exist mostly in water...  So how can people live happy and healthy lives?  The answer is to purify the water that makes up 70% of your body...

water has the ability to copy and memorize information...

All the classical music that we exposed the water to resulted in well-formed crystals with distinct characteristics.  In contrast, the water exposed to violent heavy metal music resulted in fragmented and malformed crystals at best...  Water exposed to "Thank You" formed beautiful hexagonal crystals, but water exposed to the word "Fool" produced crystals similar to the water exposed to heavy-metal music, malformed and fragmented... "Let's do it!" created attractive, well-formed crystals, but.. "Do it!" barely formed any crystals at all...  The vibration of good words has a positive effect on our world, whereas the vibration from negative words has the power to destroy.

Words are an expression of the soul.  And the condition of our soul is very likely to have an enormous impact on the water that composes as much as 70% of our body, and this impact will in no small way affect our bodies.

We must take care to give our children our attention, and to talk with them.  Speaking words of kindness and love should begin from the time of conception."
