Eczema: Mama Get On With The Program!

I didn't get my act together sooner to help my son stop itching because I wanted to believe so badly that the coconut oil, California Baby and Lavera lotions regime was doing the trick and that it had nothing to do with our healthy diet. But his eczema just remained - worse on some days and better on others. When the very itchy and scaly eczema spread from his legs to his torso and then to his arms, we finally woke up to the reality that we needed to rid our household of our beloved dairy products ASAP. Goodbye whole milk, butter, ghee, oh and my favourite heavy cream!!! Hello rice milk and coconut oil!!!

They say it takes 10 days to 3 weeks to rid the body of cow milk protein, but what a difference a week has already made on my son's skin! The eczema on his arms and torso are gone and his legs are looking and feeling much smoother. The photo above is from today... so you get the idea how bad it was last week.

As Hippocrates said, "Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine, And Medicine Thy Food".

Food is indeed powerful!
